Our Commitment

At DoodlePal, we want you to be completely satisfied with our Service. This Refund Policy explains when refunds are available and how to request them.

  • β€’Technical issues preventing Service use
  • β€’Billing errors on our part
  • β€’Unauthorized charges (reported within 60 days)

General Refund Guidelines

⚠️ No Partial Month Refunds

Subscription fees are charged monthly in advance and are non-refundable for partial months. This means:

  • If you cancel mid-month, you retain access until the end of your billing period
  • No refund is provided for the unused portion of the month
  • Your subscription will not renew after the current period ends

This policy applies to all subscription plans (Little Artist and Storyteller). The Explorer (free) plan does not involve payment and therefore refunds do not apply.

When Refunds Are Available

1. πŸ”§ Technical Issues Preventing Service Use

If you experience significant technical problems that prevent you from using core features, you may be eligible for a refund if:

  • The issue prevents you from using primary features (uploading images, generating animations, chatting with characters)
  • You report the issue to our support team within 7 days
  • You provide reasonable cooperation in troubleshooting
  • The issue is not resolved within 14 days of your initial report
  • The issue is caused by our Service and not by external factors

Refund Amount: Pro-rated refund for the period during which the Service was unavailable.

Exclusions: No refund if the issue is caused by your internet connection, device, or browser, or if the issue was resolved within a reasonable timeframe.

2. πŸ’³ Billing Errors

If you are charged incorrectly due to an error on our part, you are entitled to a full refund.

Examples of billing errors:

  • Double charging
  • Charges after subscription cancellation was properly processed
  • Charges for a plan you did not select
  • Incorrect pricing applied

Process: Contact support@doodle-pal.com with transaction details. We will investigate and process a refund within 7-10 business days if confirmed.

3. 🚨 Unauthorized Charges

If your payment method was used without your authorization:

  • Report Immediately: Contact us at support@doodle-pal.com and your payment provider
  • Report unauthorized charges within 60 days
  • Provide reasonable evidence that the charge was unauthorized
  • Secure your account by changing passwords

We will investigate, suspend the account if fraud is suspected, and issue a refund if confirmed.

If we failed to clearly disclose material information about:

  • Subscription pricing
  • Feature availability
  • Service limitations
  • Terms that significantly impact your use

You may request a refund within 7 days of subscribing if you can demonstrate the information was not disclosed and you would not have subscribed otherwise.

Refunds are NOT provided in the following circumstances:

Instead: Cancel your subscription to prevent future charges.

🎨 AI Content Dissatisfaction

  • You didn't like the animations created
  • Character personalities weren't what you expected
  • Generated content didn't meet your preferences

Note: AI content varies. Try the free plan first!

⏰ Lack of Use

  • You forgot to cancel before renewal
  • You didn't have time to use the Service
  • You didn't create any content

Responsibility: Manage your own subscription.

✨ Feature Expectations

  • You expected features not promised
  • You misunderstood included features
  • "Coming Soon" features not yet available

Tip: Review plan features before subscribing.

  • You upgraded or downgraded mid-month
  • You switched between plans

No refunds for previous plan's unused time.

🌐 Third-Party Issues

  • Problems with your payment provider
  • Your internet service provider issues
  • Device or browser compatibility

If your account is terminated for violation of our Terms of Service, no refund is provided for the current or any previous billing periods.

  • Notify you of our decision within 7 business days
  • Process approved refunds within 7-10 business days
  • Refund to your original payment method
  • Refunds may take 5-10 additional days to appear in your account

Subscription Cancellation

If you don't qualify for a refund but want to stop being charged:

  1. Log into your DoodlePal account
  2. Go to Settings β†’ Subscription
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm cancellation

Alternatively, email support@doodle-pal.com with "Cancel Subscription" in the subject line.

  • You will NOT be charged for the next billing period
  • You RETAIN ACCESS to paid features until end of current period
  • After the period ends, your account reverts to the free Explorer plan
  • Your created content remains available (unless you delete your account)
  • You can resubscribe at any time

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We prefer to resolve billing issues directly. Most issues can be resolved quickly without resorting to chargebacks.

If you dispute a charge with your payment provider (chargeback) rather than contacting us first:

Consequences of Chargebacks

  • We will respond to the chargeback with relevant documentation
  • Your account will be suspended pending resolution
  • Your account may be terminated if the chargeback is found to be fraudulent
  • Chargebacks cost us additional fees
  • You may be liable for costs associated with fraudulent chargebacks
